Our Services
Contract Research & Development
In
contrast to our engineering services, which involve the application
of current know-how, our contract research & development (R&D)
service is geared towards expanding the state-of-the-art. We focus
on applied R&D projects with clear objectives for meeting immediate
needs, rather than basic or more theoretical research. If a thorough
engineering study concludes that a client's needs cannot be economically
satisfied by taping into currently available resources, an applied
research project may be warranted. This service often involves testing
or experimentation. Examples of potential applied R&D projects
include:
- Generating specific performance data that hasn't been published;
- Developing or testing a new process;
- Determining how a current product will work in a new application;
and
- Putting existing technologies together in a new way.
An applied research & development program generally
comprises the following phases.
InnovAid provides valuable assistance at each of
these phases, from formulating innovative solutions to performing
more functional tasks. But we are especially effective when our
participation begins at the earliest stages of the process, when
our proven creative problem solving skills are most beneficial.
