intellectual property. We serve clientele ranging from individual inventors to large organizations with an emphasis on small to medium-size businesses. These companies are at the front line of innovation but are often unable to maintain comprehensive in-house technical resources.

Founder & Vision

InnovAid was founded by Timothy Kast, a registered professional engineer with Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering. Prior to founding InnovAid, his professional experience ranged from developing advanced astronaut life support systems with a Fortune 100 NASA contractor to researching and designing heat transfer & water treatment solutions with multiple entrepreneurial startup ventures. He developed the InnovAid vision while experiencing first-hand how these different organizations relied upon innovation, yet often struggled with how to support it, especially the growing small businesses. Now, as InnovAid’s President and Principal Engineer, he is proud of the firm’s ability to provide essential & economical technical support to individuals and organizations of all sizes.

Mission

At InnovAid, we strive to be a preferred provider of quality engineering and applied research services to the business, inventor and professional communities, not only in the Pacific Northwest, but across North America and beyond. Our objective is not to become the largest such firm, but to provide personalized & proficient service whatever our size. Our goal is to develop long-term relationships with our clients in order to become increasingly familiar with their business and technology and therefore, highly effective at responding to their innovation needs. Ultimately, we want them to think of us as their own “in-house” technology center, available on demand.

In addition to providing us with access to important business & technical resources, our North Idaho home offers something equally important – an inspiring setting to let our creativity soar. The area’s abundant natural beauty includes lakes, rivers, forested mountains and wildlife, and is known for the four-season outdoor recreation it provides.
